Angela Cervantes is an award-winning author of several contemporary middle-grade books. Angela's debut novel,Gaby, Lost and Found, was named Best Youth Chapter book by the International Latino Book Awards and a Bank Street College of Education’s Best Books of 2014. Angela followed Gaby, Lost and Found with Allie, First At Last (Scholastic Press; 2016) and received a starred-review from Kirkus. Angela also authored the junior novelization for Disney/Pixar's animated-film, Coco.

Angela's next novel, Me, Frida and the Secret of the Peacock Ring, was released by Scholastic Press on March 27, 2018 and was named a Junior Guild Selection and named to Texas' prestigious Bluebonnet Master List for 2019-202o. Angela's fifth middle-grade novel, Lety Out Loud, is a spin off of her first novel, Gaby, Lost and Found, and tells the story of Lety Muñoz, who takes over as shelter scribe at the Furry Friends Animal Shelter for the summer. Lety Out Loud will be released by Scholastic Press and available at your favorite bookstore/bookseller in February 2019. It is available for pre order now.

When Angela is not writing, she enjoys conducting school visits and reading. Angela writes, reads and dreams from her home in Kansas City.
